The National Association of Realtors has discovered that younger homebuyers (under 33) and older homebuyers (33 and over) choose a real estate agent for very different reasons.
Younger buyers are more likely to:
• Select an real estate agent predominately based on referrals from friends, neighbors or relatives
• Value an real estate agent's honesty and trustworthiness
• Need education on the real estate process as a whole
Older buyers are more likely to:
• Use an agent involved in their previous home sale or purchase
• Find their home through an real estate agent
• Value an real estate agent's neighborhood knowledge most
The National Association of Realtors also found that overall, 74% of homebuyers say they would definitely use the same real estate agent again or recommend them to others!
